Absolutely – we actively encourage parents to get involved. Parent and adult volunteer helpers play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our Dolphins, Nippers, and Junior sections, whether through coaching, providing lifeguard cover, or joining as adult members. If you’d like to help, please email info@lustyslsc.co.uk.

Surf Life Saving is a community movement that teaches children and adults how to stay safe at the beach. Members learn vital skills such as swimming, board paddling, rescue techniques, and first aid. It’s also a sport, with fun competitions that simulate real rescue scenarios. Most importantly, Surf Life Saving builds confidence in the ocean, encourages teamwork, and helps keep our beaches safe for everyone.

Each member is expected to have the following items for training:

  • A pair of goggles
  • A set of flippers
  • A pool swim hat

The club will provide a rash vest and hat for use at the beach.
